ABOUT CAREER MINISTRY

Mission Statement

As a Church devoted to executing greater works, the objective of the Career Ministry is to provide all members and the community with resources to develop transferable skills needed for job placement, career advancement and/or career transitioning. The ministry will also assist in fine tuning gifts to maintain employment.


NEW JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is hiring!

DHS is seeking qualified individuals to fill mission-critical and mission support positions in: law enforcement, business operations, mission support, immigration, travel security, prevention and response, cyber, information technology, engineering, intelligence, emergency management, and many more.

Over the next several weeks, DHS will host webinars for potential and current applicants to provide information on DHS career opportunities, direct hire authorities, veterans’ preference and other hiring authorities for veterans, effective resume writing, how to create a profile on USAJOBS, and how to make a resume searchable.

Monday, November 4
6 p.m. – 9 p.m. ET
Target Audience: Veterans (but open to all)

Thursday, November 14
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. ET
Target Audience: People with Disabilities, College Students, Graduates and Professionals (but open to all)
