Dr. Brenda Joy Atchison is not only the beloved wife of Westside’s Senior Pastor and treasured first lady of Westside Baptist Church, she is also a career coach, successful retail business owner, college professor and actively involved in civic and social pursuits as she provides passionate visionary leadership coaching others to succeed. Dr. Atchison is professionally trained as an image and wardrobe consultant and holds a Doctorate in Organizational Management/Leadership from The University of Phoenix, Phoenix Arizona; a Master of Education/Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas; and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas.

Sharing the truth of Christ and living a life that impacts and uplifts others is a guiding force in her life.  Dr. Brenda is quoted as saying “It has always been my passion to help people succeed at being their very best. I have used teaching, counseling, mentoring, and coaching as a means to that end. The journey to this juncture has been so incredible that I want to share my passion to help others find their purpose and live up to their full potential.
