Rev. Jude Gilbert
Rev. Jude Michael Gilbert is a native of Grosse Tete, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Shady Grove High School and attended Louisiana State (LSU) and Southern Universities majoring in Accounting. In 1987 he moved to Oakland, California where he acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1998 and was licensed and ordained by the late Bishop Gordon Humphrey, Jr.
Rev. Gilbert has served in several capacities within the body of Christ including Director of Choirs at New Light Baptist Church, Grosse Tete, Louisiana, Praise & Worship Leader and Church Administrator at OIMBC and is the founder of “The Priesthood” praise and worship ministry based in Oakland, California.
He has also penned several songs recorded by national recording artists: Lawrence Matthews, the late Daryl Coley, Stephen Hurd, and Peniel Baptist Church Choir. He has worked at Westside in several capacities and now serves as the Events Manager. Jude is married to the lovely Irma Taylor Gilbert.
