Chester Anderson III has served at Westside Baptist Church since 1997; starting with teaching children’s Sunday school and working in the media ministry with the sound equipment. Chester started the Stewardship ministry, leading and conducting various workshops and classes on debt elimination, budgeting, and retirement. In 2007 Chester was voted as the Treasurer. In late 2015 Chester assumed the interim position as Church Administrator, then accepted the position full-time in May 2016.

Chester is a graduate of the University of Houston receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems. He has a diverse background in the industry, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and financial services. He also holds several securities licenses (6, 63, 7, and 65), received a Certificate in Financial Planning from Southern Methodist University, and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Chester has started the process to become a Certified Church Administrator beginning with classes at Dallas Baptist University. Chester is married, has two daughters, and is a native of Dallas, Texas. He enjoys reading, appreciating God’s country, and educating people on being good stewards.

Rev. Jude Michael Gilbert is a native of Grosse Tete, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Shady Grove High School and attended Louisiana State (LSU) and Southern Universities majoring in Accounting. In 1987 he moved to Oakland, California where he acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1998 and was licensed and ordained by the late Bishop Gordon Humphrey, Jr.

Rev. Gilbert has served in several capacities within the body of Christ including Director of Choirs at New Light Baptist Church, Grosse Tete, Louisiana, Praise & Worship Leader and Church Administrator at OIMBC and is the founder of “The Priesthood” praise and worship ministry based in Oakland, California.

He has also penned several songs recorded by national recording artists: Lawrence Matthews, the late Daryl Coley, Stephen Hurd, and Peniel Baptist Church Choir. He has worked at Westside in several capacities and now serves as the Events Manager. Jude is married to the lovely Irma Taylor Gilbert.

Deborah Benard has served and supported Westside ministries by caring for Westside families for several decades. Since becoming a member in January 2000, she has severed as a Koinonia Kids group leader for first grade students and provided administrative support for several Children and Youth Ministries. In 2005, Deborah joined the Westside staff providing administrative support for the WBC Summer Camp and Westside Christian Academy (WCA). At WCA, Deborah took on additional duties of preschool teacher as well as school cook. In 2009, Deborah accepted the position of Westside Childcare Coordinator managing volunteers and staff while caring for infant to twelve-year-old children during Westside’s regular weekly services and special events. Deborah also served on the Policy and Procedures Committee and Westside Steering Committee. In September 2022, Deborah accepted the position of Ministry Support Manager to use her God given talents and abilities to enhance, improve and support ministry efforts in all areas at Westside.

Deborah is a native of St. Louis, Missouri where she attended Saint Louis University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Computer Science. She has a professional background in information technology services, network design, business process improvement and personnel management. She credits her passion for the Lord and service to the example set by her mother who served as a preschool Sunday School teacher and her father who served as a deacon at Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Deborah is married and has four adult children. She enjoys gardening, the arts, solving puzzles, mysteries, and spending time with family.

Kenneth Means was raised in Garland, Texas, by his grandmother and attended East Side Church of Christ.  After graduating from Dallas Carter High School, Kenneth joined the McKinney Job Corps to study carpentry.  He has traveled extensively in the United States, having lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Roswell, New Mexico; and Bakersfield, California before returning home to Dallas, Texas. Kenneth has two brothers, one sister, two sons and a daughter.

Carolyn Underwood is a native of Kansas City, Kansas. After graduating from F.L. Schlagle High School, she attended several classes at Kansas City Kansas Community College. Carolyn is blessed to be a sister to four siblings, mother to five children, and grandmother to five grandchildren. Moving to Texas in October 2017, she married Edwin Underwood in November of the same year. Carolyn worked in the warehouse industry prior to joining Westside as a receptionist. She enjoys helping others to reach and achieve their vision.
